Transport

This floating window allows you to access the main functions of the player. You can however play your files without using the transport window because all basic transport commands and relative key shortcuts are accessible from the "Player" menu.

QMidi Pro additional features

The upper area of the transport panel displays the current song name (in the left display) and the preloaded song name (right display), separated by the auto fade button.

Manual Preload

To manually preload a file from the finder:

• Choose the "File > Preload…" menu or the right display contextual menu.
• Drag a file over the right display.

To manually preload a playlist item:

• Choose the "File > Preload selection" menu or the contextual menu (right-click an item).
• Drag a playlist item over the right display.

Fader

Use the "Player > Fader" menu to manage your fades. The fade panel allows you to choose the fade duration, curve and other parameters.

Auto Fade

To enable auto fade, either click the auto fade button or choose the "Player > Fader > Auto Fade" menu.

In this mode, a cross fade will be automatically applied between songs (chain play mode). Also, choosing:

• "Play" will fade in.
• "Stop" will fade out.
• "Next" will crossfade.

The "Auto Fade" mode is deactivated after a fade triggered by the user (like choosing play, stop, ecc).
