If this option is enabled, QMidi will display the file-open dialog when the application starts.
If this option is enabled (default), QMidi will automatically start playback as soon as a song is loaded. Disable this option if you prefer to start playback manually.
If this option is enabled (default), QMidi will force auto play during crossfades.
Enables the recording of playback history in QMidi’s log file. Each time a song is played, a log record is created in a tab-delimited format:
<date> <time> <playback duration> <title> <artist> <composer>
The log file is located in your ~/Library/Logs/ directory and can be viewed by selecting Log from the "Window" menu (typically opened in the Console application).
For a more readable layout, you can open this file with the Apple Numbers application. You can also associate the QMidi log file with Numbers—as described in Apple’s online help—for faster access.
This setting determines the minimum playback duration required for a song to be recorded in the playback history and for updating the Last played field in the library.
Determines how the MIDI device is reset between songs to prevent settings from a previous file from affecting the currently playing song. QMidi sends these messages only if they are not already present in the MIDI file.
Choose one or more of the following options:
The enabled reset messages are also sent when choosing "Reset Device" from the "Player" menu.
If enabled (default), QMidi sends the All Sounds Off control message when you press the stop button. If your connected MIDI device supports this command, it will immediately stop all sounds (for example, cymbal decay, reverb tails, etc.). Note: This is different from the All Notes Off message, which QMidi always sends.
If enabled, QMidi will skip any silence at the beginning of a MIDI file and start playback immediately at the first note.
Some synthesizers require time to process initialization messages. Use this setting to insert a short delay before playback begins. Use the shortest value that works reliably.
When this function is enabled, QMidi sends a series of MIDI messages to your synthesizers whenever you move to a new position in the song. This ensures that all MIDI devices are correctly updated with Program Change, Controller messages (such as MIDI Volume), and other relevant settings.
Choose the format for chord notation: C, D, E… or Do, Re, Mi…
Select the default text encoding used when adding MIDI or audio files to a playlist or when opening a MIDI file. The encoding can be changed at any time via the "Encoding" item in the "View" menu. You can also customize the list of available encodings.
Enable this option to use the smiley icon in rich text instead of coloring text.
Toggle the visibility of the divider between the text and chords areas.
Toggle the visibility of the progress bar in the chords view.
Determines the portion of the next PDF page shown during continuous scrolling. Once this portion is reached, the view scrolls automatically to the top of the next page.
Set here the font size for the library and the playlist documents.
Items played in the specified time range with be shown as disabled.
By default, double-clicking an item in the library will load the song. You can change this behavior so that QMidi preloads the song instead.
If enabled, QMidi will skip adding files that are already present in the library. However, it will still allow the creation of playlist aliases that point to the existing library item.
By default, the current toolbar filters remain active until you clear them manually. Enable this option to automatically clear the filters when selecting another playlist or filter in the sidebar.
By default, key signatures are displayed in standard musical notation. Enable this option to display key signatures using DJ Camelot code notation instead.
